Artwork Upload and File Preparation

Prepare Your Files for Professional Production

High-quality artwork helps DB Graphics A2 produce the best possible results across screen printing, embroidery, DTF transfers, sublimation, engraving, awards, and promotional products.

Requirements vary by production method. Review the guidelines below and upload the highest-quality original version of your artwork.

Preferred File Formats

Whenever possible, submit original vector artwork or a high-resolution image.

Vector Files

Preferred for logos, text, screen printing, engraving, and designs requiring resizing:

  • AI
  • EPS
  • SVG
  • Print-ready PDF

Vector artwork can be resized without becoming blurry or pixelated.

Raster Files

Accepted for photographic artwork, DTF printing, sublimation, and certain full-color applications:

  • Transparent PNG
  • PSD
  • TIFF
  • High-quality JPG

Raster artwork should be submitted at the actual finished size and 300 DPI whenever possible.

General Artwork Checklist

Before uploading your artwork, confirm that:

  • The file is the highest-quality version available.
  • Artwork is sized to the actual finished dimensions.
  • Raster images are 300 DPI whenever possible.
  • Text has been converted to outlines or rasterized.
  • Fonts and linked images are embedded.
  • Unwanted backgrounds and stray pixels are removed.
  • Lines and small details are thick enough for production.
  • Colors are clearly identified when exact colors are required.
  • The artwork has not been mirrored, unless specifically requested.
  • You have permission to reproduce all submitted content.

DTF Transfer Artwork

For DTF transfers and gang sheets, we recommend:

  • Transparent PNG
  • 300 DPI
  • Actual finished print size
  • Fully transparent background
  • RGB color mode
  • No mirrored artwork
  • Minimum 0.25″ spacing between gang-sheet designs
  • No artwork outside the selected sheet boundary

Soft background boxes, shadows, glows, and semi-transparent pixels may print with unexpected white ink. Inspect all edges carefully before submitting.

Screen-Printing Artwork

Vector artwork is strongly preferred for screen printing. Submit an AI, EPS, SVG, or print-ready PDF whenever possible.

Please provide:

  • Desired print size
  • Garment color
  • Print location
  • Number of ink colors
  • Total quantity
  • Pantone colors, when exact matching is required

Low-resolution artwork and designs containing gradients, photographs, or excessive colors may require conversion or additional setup.

Embroidery Artwork

Embroidery requires artwork to be converted into a specialized stitch file through digitizing. Standard image files cannot be sent directly to an embroidery machine.

Submit the clearest version of your logo or design and include:

  • Finished embroidery size
  • Garment or product type
  • Embroidery location
  • Thread color preferences
  • Required quantity

Small lettering, gradients, fine lines, and complex details may need to be simplified. A digitizing fee may apply based on size, detail, and stitch count.

Sublimation Artwork

Sublimation artwork should generally be supplied as:

  • High-resolution PNG, PSD, TIFF, or print-ready PDF
  • 300 DPI at the finished size
  • Correct product dimensions
  • Artwork with appropriate bleed where required

Sublimation works best on compatible polyester fabrics and specially coated products. Printed colors may differ slightly from what appears on a monitor.

Laser and Rotary Engraving Artwork

Clean vector artwork is preferred for engraving. Submit an AI, EPS, SVG, or black-and-white PDF when available.

Engraving artwork should contain:

  • Clear, solid shapes
  • Outlined fonts
  • Minimal gradients or photographic effects
  • Sufficient line thickness
  • Exact names, dates, and wording

Please carefully proof all personalization details. DB Graphics A2 does not laser engrave customer-supplied products.

Awards, Plaques, and Personalized Products

Provide all names, titles, dates, award categories, and personalization information in a clearly organized document or spreadsheet.

Before submitting:

  • Check all spelling carefully.
  • Confirm capitalization and punctuation.
  • Organize information by product or recipient.
  • Identify any repeated text.
  • Include your preferred layout or logo placement.

Production will follow the approved proof, so all personalization details must be reviewed before approval.

Color Information

Computer and mobile screens display colors differently from printed inks, embroidery thread, sublimation, and engraved materials. An exact screen-to-product color match cannot be guaranteed.

If color accuracy is important, provide:

  • Pantone color references
  • Brand color codes
  • A previously approved sample
  • Specific thread color requirements

Color-matching services and physical samples may require additional time or fees.

Artwork Cleanup and Design Assistance

DB Graphics A2 can assist with:

  • Background removal
  • File conversion
  • Artwork resizing
  • Vectorization
  • Gang-sheet setup
  • Color separation
  • Embroidery digitizing
  • Basic design cleanup
  • Personalization setup

Additional artwork or setup charges may apply depending on the file quality and the work required. Properly prepared, print-ready files help avoid delays and unnecessary setup costs.

Proofing and Approval

When a proof is provided, carefully review:

  • Spelling and grammar
  • Names and dates
  • Design size
  • Product color
  • Print or embroidery location
  • Artwork orientation
  • Design placement
  • Overall layout

Production begins after the final proof is approved. DB Graphics A2 is not responsible for errors approved by the customer. Changes requested after approval may result in additional charges and production delays.

Copyright and Artwork Ownership

By submitting artwork, you confirm that you own the content or have legal permission to reproduce it. This includes logos, characters, photographs, trademarks, brand names, and copyrighted designs.

DB Graphics A2 reserves the right to refuse artwork that appears unauthorized, illegal, offensive, or unsuitable for production.

  • Your name and contact information
